Elvis Grbac was signed by the
		Kansas
City Chiefs in 1997 and his best season statistically came in 2000
when he passed for 4,169 yards and 28 touchdowns with a

passer rating of 89.9 en route to the Pro Bowl.  But alas, the
Chiefs still finished the 2000 season with a 7-9 record and Grbac was
released that same year.  Head Coach Gunther Cunningham was also
replaced by Dick Vermeil that following year.  Grbac was known as a
cocky, outspoken quarterback who had a seriously large chip on his
shoulder.  After being traded to The Ravens, and becoming their
starting quarterback just one year after the Ravens won the Super Bowl
behind Trent Dilfer, Grbac came out and told the press that the Ravens
needed a better quarterback and that he was it.  Grbac put up
lackluster numbers and retired from the NFL the following year.        Chiefs Players and StaffAbner Haynes,
